Lunch Hour Demonstration on 28-03-2013

Dear Comrades,

It has been decided to conduct lunch hour demonstration under the banner of JCA on 28-03-2013 in front of all CCIT offices against the partisan attitude of the CBDT and the vindictive action proposed against the members of ITGOA, who are on agitation since 11-02-2013. The ITEF and the ITGOA cannot turn a blind eye against the highhandedness of the CBDT in perpetually delaying the ITO to AC promotions which in turn affects the career prospect of all Group B & C employees.

The Branch Secretaries of Kochi & Thiruvananthapuram are requested to make the program a grand success.

Grant of minimum entry pay to promotees– RTI Reply

Posted hereunder is the file noting regarding the grant of minimum  entry pay to promotees vis-a-vis direct recruits. The noting was obtained through RTI Act. It seems that the NAC decision has been rejected by the Finance Ministry. However, our central leaders have informed that this would not be the end of the matter and they are still trying to get the decision reversed.

Dear comrades,

The minutes of Personnel Grievance Committee which met of 08-02-2013 is posted here under. The minutes have been bifurcated as administrative issues and grievance matters and hence separate minutes.

Under item 6 of administrative matters, the administration, depending upon the decision of CBDT on acceptability, had agreed to implement the favourable CAT order on advance increment in all similar cases. However, subsequently CBDT directed the CCIT[CCA] to file an appeal before the High Court against the said order.

Observe women’s day on 8th March

Dear comrades,

The International Women’s Day is observed throughout the world on 8th March of every year. This year in India, the day will be observed amidst increased violence on women being reported from every state without any exception.

In the Income Tax Department, almost 25% of the personnel are women working in various cadres and places.  The Income Tax Employees Federation request all the Circles and branches to observe the day by holding conventions/seminars/meetings at all places and take a pledge to fight for a safe, secure and dignified life for all our mothers, sisters and daughters.

Letter given to HRD w.r.t. fixation of pay of ITI/AO/PS

A letter has been given to DG, HRD to once again take up the matter of fixation of pay in the case of ITIs/AOs/PS in consonance with the clarification issued in the case of CSS/CSSS with the Department of Expenditure. The issue pertains to the grant of replacement scale Rs.7450/- to all those persons promoted from 1.1.2006 to 31.8.2008.

Ad-hoc Committee instated at Calicut

Dear Comrades,

The Circle Secretariat which met at Cochin on 08-02-2013 unanimously decided to appoint an Ad-hoc Committee at Calicut with delegated powers of the Calicut Branch with immediate effect for a period not extending three months.  The decision was taken in view of dispute at Calicut Branch that have resulted in impaired functioning of  Federation at Calicut. The decision, taken in consonance with the Article X[B][iii][d] of the ITEF Constitution, was unanimously ratified by the State Executive that met on 08-02-2013. The Ad-hoc committee has also been mandated to convene a General Body at Calicut at the earliest and elect the office bearers of the Calicut Branch.

The Ad-hoc Committee at Calicut shall be as under:

(2)       Shri Mohandas R. Nair, OS        To act as Branch Secretary

Transfer proforma for AGT 2013.

The CCIT has called for transfer application for AGT 2013 from all officials in Kerala region. The last date for submission of application before respective Heads of Office is 22-02-2013. All members of ITEF who wants the federation to take up the matter of their transfer before the authorities may handover a copy of the same to the respective Branch Secretaries.
