The International Women’s Day is observed throughout the world on 8^th March of every year. This year in India, the day will be observed amidst increased violence on women being reported from every state without any exception.

In the Income Tax Department, almost 25% of the personnel are women working in various cadres and places.  The Income Tax Employees Federation request all the Circles and branches to observe the day by holding conventions/seminars/meetings at all places and take a pledge to fight for a safe, secure and dignified life for all our mothers, sisters and daughters.

Dear Comrades,

The agitation against outsourcing at Chennai has been deferred in view of the decision of the administration to suspend the operation of the controversial circular granting permission to outsource the jobs pertaining to Gr. C cadre. The united and concerted campaign of ITEF CHQ, ITEF Tamilnadu Circle and other Circles all over the country alone made this victory possible. We hope that this success will serve as a warning and be a deterrent to all those retrograde elements who clamour for outsourcing , not because of any unsurmountable work load, but to enjoy the ministrations of accommodating unorganized contractual employees.

The ITEF, Kerala Circle congratulates each and every one of its members in extending untrammelled support for the cause.

The CHQ has informed that the ‘Walk-out’ programme slated for tomorrow stands suspended in view of the settlement of Chennai outsourcing issue. The details of the outcome of the discussion with the central leaders and the Chennai CCIT will be informed in due course.
